Position Title: Aquisition Manager
Details:
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Permanent hire
Client : Bearing point
Rate: $100 - 115k salary
Location: Arlington , VA
Note : The key here is pre-award experience when screening. Source Selection, RFI/RFP development and strategy
Performance Profile
- Independently manage the various phases of the acquisition lifecycle.
- Support preparation and maintenance of technical acquisition documentation to include Statements of Work, Performance Work Statements, and Statements of Objectives.
- Ability to develop an acquisition plan and work with contracting officers and subject matter experts.
- Prepare technical requirements analyses, technical evaluation plans, analyses of alternatives, and cost estimates.
- Assist client with the development of performance metrics for various types of contracts (i.e., customer support, software development).
- Act as liaison with Government contracting officers. Recommend appropriate contract vehicles and/or contract offices to use.
- Excel skills to develop cost models and/or compile cost information (elements of cost (direct, indirect, G&A, cost build up)
Position-specific Requirements
- 5+ years acting as a business advisor and partner in decision-making
- 5+ years working with limited oversight and on virtual teams
- 5+ years working with government acquisitions developing an advanced understanding of the acquisition lifecycle.
- 5+ years experience interpreting FAR and applying regulations to specific acquisition efforts
- 5+ years experience managing the full lifecycle of an acquisition (for planning to award)
- 5+ years contracts/acquisition experience (either side of the wall with government contract experience).
US Citizenship
- Must be willing and able to commute to the Arlington , VA area on a daily basis
Position Preferred Requirements
DoD Acquisition
Experience with performance based contracting and MS project is highly desirable.
