Compensation : TOTAL: $85K-$103K ( BASE: 85% + BONUS:15%)

Location : HOUSTON, TX
Travel: 20%.

Function, Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define, Measure and Manage Knowledge with in the team
  • Monitor and Manage team to deliver project/products
  • Provide SME support for complex issues.
  • Anchor commercialization/ Productization of products/applications
  • Create Review Knowledge artefacts
  • Design and code complex modules
  • Work on complex techno-domain issues in the project
  • Provide innovative solutions
  • Bottom-line for delivering the project
  • Demonstrate strong Techno Domain skills in the client interaction
  • Other Responsibilities - Presales Support, Ensuring quality and process deployment initiatives within this group & Client Interfacing.

Reports to

Sr Project Manager/ Senior Consultant – E&P

Immediate Level subordinates :
Associate Consultant – E&P, Programmer Analyst.

Competencies

Strong technology focus (Expert level) in one platform, Demonstrate competencies of Associate Consultant, Architecture defining capability, Specialist skills in more than one core areas like Seismic/ Log/ Interpretation/ Data management, Plan and Manage releases, SME training capability, Suggest and implement best practices and tools for efficient delivery.



Objectives of the job

Development/Maintenance Projects using a particular Package/ on a specific E&P domain workflows
There could be up multiple projects at any time, each spanning approximately 3 months to 12 months for development projects and even up to 36 months for Maintenance project. At the start of these projects, the Delivery Manager / Group Project Manager usually resources the project in terms of people with relevant skill sets as well as other resources necessary. The E&P database /skill central helps in the process.

Entry Criteria

  • All criteria applicable to PM role is applicable for this role, except the following exclusions
    • Team size handled
    • Experience in playing a PM role as per regular Infosys criteria.
  • Masters in Geology/ Geophysics or Engineering degree in Petroleum Engineering / Geo-informatics or Mechanical engineering with at least 3 yrs experience in E&P projects.
  • Preference of Industry standard certifications like MCAD/ SUN certified Java programmer etc
  • At least 7 yrs of relevant experience ( total experience)
  • Experience in designing applications and defining architecture for complex systems, , Strong technology skills and Ability to appreciate and understand complex systems
  • Knowledge of niche technologies like Graphics Packages (Open Inventor, Open GL), Cartography or GIS packages and experience in implementing these packages in complex applications.
  • Skill level 4 on a scale of 5 in any of the technologies like .Net/Java/OS.
  • Specialist skills in at least one core area like Interpretation/ Seismic/Well log/ Reservoir Simulation/ Data Management/Hydro carbon accounting/Production/Well completion/Drilling
  • In depth Knowledge of at least one key package/Product/solution widely used the industry
