DataWarehouse Engagement Manager

10-14 yrs in IT industry with extensive experience in managing large data warehousing solutions, data integration solutions for large scale global data warehousing/ data integration programs (250+ team size, 15 M USD +). The candidate should have a good technical awareness of industry standard data warehousing tools and technologies in ETL, OLAP and Information Management space.. The candidate should have been working with leading IT services providers and should be very familiar with global delivery models and operations. Candidate should have solid practical experience in software quality systems and processes CMMi, ITIL compliance etc, and project planning and cost management.

Responsible for a large account, set of accounts or a subset of accounts, the role is similar to that of a Program manager but not confined to a single project life cycle. Engagement management is more of a consulting process. The Engagement Manager mentors the entire team to ensure everyone is involved and passionate about the tasks at hand. Engagement Managers function as coordinators. The candidate should manage the partnerships and handle escalation issues. Schedules and facilitates regular meetings between us, development partners and clients. Engagement Manager oversees multidimensional projects, develop reports on progress, ensure readiness and recommend enhancements. Contribute to risk management plans and execution

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Is responsible for running complex programs and projects
  • He has to make different risk management strategies
  • He must plan and set project goals and milestones
  • He must clearly define requirements and make targets accordingly
  • He should detect and solve project issues effectively
  • He must supervise the projects and managing conflicts within the different department
  • He has to frequently perform team assessment and evaluate them
  • He must recognize areas for internal improvement and developing plans for implementing them
  • He must make sure all the measures comply with company standards and procedures
  • Responsible for the growth of the account and quarterly agreed targets set.
  • Provide thought leadership to the customers working in DW & BFSI space.

  • Results & outcome oriented
  • Enthusiastic and able to drive own activities
  • Must have good understanding of the project management process
  • He should be good with numbers and must have analytical skills
  • He must display good leadership skills
  • He should also have good organization, presentation and customer service skills.
  • Critical skills include decision making, facilitation, influencing, financial acumen and negotiation. Strong written and verbal communication aptitude is a must.

Education and Qualifications

  • 10-15 years experience in DW implementation.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Technology or related field..
  • MBA is preferable.
