Position Description :.

1. The candidate will identify key influencers of marketplace (in media, industry watchers, etc) based in the US and help shape positive opinion and recommendations
2. The candidate will provide communication support for events and conferences in the region
3. The candidate will provide strategic inputs for customer communication with the Communications team and work closely with the GEO sales teams to execute those programmes
4. Enable effective participation of the executive management in Media and PR related activities
5. Identify opportunities to position HCL as a thought leader in the IT space
6. To manage a databank of information (message house, case studies, pitch notes, etc.) for use as communication tools by the team
7. To manage external vendors (PR agency) for eliciting maximum output

1. Position Band : Recommended E3.
2. Reporting Manager : Primarily to Geo Head / Matrix to External Communications Head
3. Number of Reportees to the role : Nil
4. Mobility Requirements : High within Geo, limited travel to India

2. Person Specification :

1. Experience in years : 6 – 8 years , geo citizen
2. Kind of Experience : Performed a similar role in a mid size geo service provider
3. Education : Graduate, some degree/diploma in marketing or communications preferred
4. Certification : some certification in communications would be desirable
5. Domain Knowledge : Knowledge of IT Industry and the geo Market , familiar with Offshore. Familiarity with IT Services Marketing Association (ITSMA) would be desirable. Requires familiarity with IT bodies, events and the opinion makers landscape.
6. Technical Skills : Professional grade knowledge on Word, Powerpoint, Project. Good writing skills needed.
7. Language Proficiency : English is fine.
