Position: Executive Assistant
Job Description:
This position requires a high level of organizational skill; excellent attention to detail; the ability to work closely and intensely with the CEO as well as with minimal supervision. Must be able to make educated and informed decisions; prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures and conflicting priorities; handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Excellent communication skills (oral and written), creativity, resourcefulness and an internal/external customer service orientation are essential, in order to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with outside clients, allies and VIPs. Must be proactive and confident, with a willingness to offer input, and to contribute and defend ideas. Maintaining regular contact with the Executives to whom the EA is assigned. Scheduling of meetings and appointments, setting up of teleconferences, taking minutes at teleconferences. Preparing drafts and reports. Back office document processing. Managing all Executive communications.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills- BOTH written and verba
- Ability to work independently
- Must have a minimum of two to five years of experience, professionalism, maturity and sound judgment to successfully manage the challenges of this position
- A high level of proficiency in MS Word, email and Internet is required to perform the varied duties of this position; basic Excel, PowerPoint, light bookkeeping proficiency is a PLUS
- Excellent secretarial skills such as typing and knowledge of office procedures. Shorthand PLUS
