Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies and plans in conjunction with the Practice Head and Vertical sales teams for the focused practice area.
- Develop and present proposals and quotations to support sales goals and objectives.
- Will be responsible to meet/beat the Practice sales quota for the region and deliver consistent growth.
- Manage existing strategic customer engagements to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth.
- In conjunction with the vertical Sales teams, identify and engage with new potential clients that support the practice/geo strategy.
- Drive and follow up with assigned vertical sales teams to ensure PES sales and revenues are in line with projections and plan.
- Build thought leadership and brand awareness for IAC offerings/capabilities through development of whitepapers, workshops, support of collateral development, and customer/industry presentations.
- Develop and support focused sales campaigns for strategic initiatives including a variety of outbound marketing techniques.
- Serve as the practice domain expert within the region and primary liaison between the practice and local sales/customers.
- Working with GEO and Practice Head contribute to Practice's global/ regional plans, identification of strategic initiatives, and operating plans.
- Complete and submit reports as required.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of the industrial automation and controls environment from both a product development and manufacturing process perspective. The IAC practice offers both product design/support services and automation engineering services and the Practice Manager must be comfortable articulating value propositions for both.
- Experience with open innovation and outsourced product development environments highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of the functions and benefits of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Condition Monitoring Systems, and overall IT for the manufacturing/production environment.
- Successful experience as SME and sales closer for the assigned areas of technology and markets. Solid understanding of control and automation solutions, embedded electronics & software, and overall technical aptitude.
- 7-10 years of experience in business development roles encompassing both sales strategy and account relationship engagement/management.
- Experience with relationship and consultancy-based selling techniques.
- Ability to communicate and interact across a wide range of customer and industry stakeholders from C/D-level to engineering and operations decision makers. Comfortable presenting to large audiences and in public forums.
- Proficient and working experience with MS-Office tools and CRM systems.
- Ability to travel domestically 40-50%.
- Ability to work and meet objectives with minimal direction and oversight.
