We are looking for Principal Architect who has

• Ability to understand implications of Technology from a business perspective. E.g. How does incorporating Web 2.0 in a Customer portal bring in value?\
• Ability to express problems that Manufacturing organizations have and solution options - say Dealer Management, Vehicle Logistics, Fitment of PLM into a landscape, Product Configuration
• Ability to understand IT Landscape, its typical problems and ways to solve those problems
• Understanding of Portfolio Rationalization techniques
• Ability to develop business cases
• Basic understanding of broad set of technologies - SAP / Oracle / Microsoft / J2EE and so on.
• Understanding of SOA, and its value proposition
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Architectural tools like System Architect, Troux etc.

More details

1. 8+ years of IT software development with an emphasis on data modeling, architecture and database design, with individual responsible for the definition and implementation of many successful database structures.
2. Experience with Data modeling methodologies - specifically top down working with business users, and developing models with progressive levels of detail. Also experience with bottom-up techniques, analyzing existing systems and their data bases, documenting detailed data definitions, and building data models.
3. Experience designing, building or supporting a diversity of database oriented systems with differing areas of focus (for instance: finance, budgeting, investment, order-entry, inventory, contact management, personnel systems, workflow, real estate, etcetera).
4. Knowledge of methods for data warehouse dimensional modeling.
5. Knowledge of principles for enterprise information architecture and modeling.
6. Skills using Erwin data modeling software (and other equivalents) to create and complete logical and physical data models.
7. An understanding of Logical vs. Physical modeling. Knowledge of Database Administration tasks. Experience in data migration/data integration/database tuning.
8. Deep familiarity with at least 1 product in the MDM space such as IBM Web sphere CustomerCenter, Web sphere Product Center, SAP MDM, Siperian, i2 MDM.
9. Experience in multiple verticals including Financial Services, HealthCare, Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, High tech, Insurance, Telecommunications
10. Familiarity with Meta Data Management capabilities and tools - experience with having worked with one or more Meta Data Repositories.
