Travel: Yes ( UK-USA)
- Rich and extensive delivery experience (15-18+) for large projects and programs – with most recent experiences in BFS services sector
- Should have managed large program teams (200+ Headcount) handling program delivery as well as people mgmt aspects of the programs
- Should have won and/or executed at least 3 end to end $10M+ Programs as a Early Engagement Manager and/or Program Manager (preferably for 3 different clients) – experience is creating winning bids and executing them successfully – both are needed to ensure a balanced approach to pre and post early engagement phases
- Should have executed at least 5 end to end $20M+ Programs in consulting mode if above point based experience is missing in terms of large programs bidding and proposal building processes or execution processes
- Must have leadership skills including – Ability to create mission & vision , strategy for execution of the same and ability to execute on a strategy with a proven track record of the same through mix of charismatic authority and affiliative leadership while coaching/mentoring his/her team and bringing in innovative practices to the table
- Should have good exposure and needs to exhibit experience through his/her programs/portfolios in past that clearly highlight effort and results in his/her ability to think out of the box in order to enhance productivity , non-linear revenue models , calculated risk taking approach and aggressive deliveries using the same
- Exposure in establishing , building and managing competency centers (Program Management Competencies would be desirable though not mandatory) in any previous organizations would be a big plus – essentially we need a hard core processes driven , metrics oriented personality who can drive consistent , reliable and repetitive processes that make the whole group less people centric and more knowledge-centric
- Well versed with CMMi 5 processes and procedures , exposure to six sigma will be definite advantage
- Varying technologies and solution platforms/deals exposure will be a great plus
- Should have good exposure to BD cycle (Presentation , relationship mgmt capabilities to close deals)
- Should have helped in resolving business and technology decisions (advisory roles)
- Should have faced tough situations such as escalations , deep red projects , etc. (the higher up the escalation went the better it would be) , ideally exposure of at least one failed program is always needed to ensure sanctity of experience and modesty in achievements.
- Working with onsite-offshore team models is a MUST have (at least 5+ Yrs of exposure in near past experience)
- P&L management and related things are not considered a big plus though we would expect the person to have fair idea of the same but do not want to find someone who is much more driven by the P&L (in fact too much of this exposure in profile may be a negative influence for the envisaged role)
- Should be placed well (geographically) to walk in for customer meetings and team help (East coast may help in this front is US)
