Job Description
- Gather technical requirements
and develop detailed solution architecture plans
for large enterprise projects related to Master
Data Management (MDM)
- Convert high level business /
functional requirements into detailed architecture/implementation
documents
- Architect integration with in-house
legacy systems using standard EAI and other
technologies
- Document all technical configurations
- Provide MDM technical system
administration and support infrastructure (
data Center ) team
- Communicate with key stakeholders
to keep them informed of Architecture/Design
status and relevant issues, interests and impacts.
- Configure Master Data Management
Packages.
- Provide expert technical guidance
and direction to an outsourced development team
(onshore & offshore).
- Reports to Principal Architect
or Solution/Practice Manager
- While no employees report to
this role on a permanent basis, the candidate
should be capable to provide the leadership
of a work group: assign and review work, train
and contribute to performance appraisal
Technical Skills Required
- Strong technology background
- Strong understanding of SOA and
Enterprise Patterns
- Knowledge of JAVA and J2EE architecture
- Extensive knowledge of XML --
experience with industry standards such as UCCnet
XML, RosettaNet, etc. is desired
- Strong understanding of J2EE-based
workflow and rules engines
Desired
- Experience in deploying application
logic as web services working with portal and
other rich web GUI technologies such as AJAX
- Experience with master data management,
customer data integration, reference data management,
and ETL
- Experience working with
- EAI tools such as IBM WBI, Web Methods,
See Beyond, and Tibco
- Reporting tools such as Actuate, Crystal
, and Micro Strategy
- J2EE-based application servers such as
IBM Websphere and BEA Weblogic
- Standard relational databases such as
Oracle, MSSQL and Db2
Behavioral Skills
- Experience in the life cycle stages of the projects like Requirements Analysis, Design, Build and Deployment
- Assertive self-starter
- Ability to work under pressure under tight deadlines
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to articulate complex functional and technical concepts to business audiences
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, analytical skills are required in order to effectively work with the clients throughout the process.
- Exposure to pre-sales and proposal making activities
Experience:
Minimum 5 years
Education:
Strong technology background, minimum BS, MS.
CS / EE preferred
