Compensation: BASE: $85K to $150K + BONUS: 20% to 30%.

Job Summary
This position is within the Technology consulting services group, which provides strategic information technology consulting services to Manufacturing organizations, including automotive, aerospace, high technology and discrete manufacturing firms. Our solutions help client increase productivity, reduce costs, compete effectively, and improve operational efficiency.

A Senior Technical Architect – Information Visibility is responsible for architecting, designing, and planning implementation of data management environments that support large and/or complex operational and analytical business applications.  In addition, a Senior Technical Architect is expected to apply his/her experience to gather, understand, articulate and lead the implementation of data management principles and strategies across a client’s organization for multiple project engagements.


Responsibilities

A Senior Technical Architect – Information Visibility functions as the most senior data management advisor and technical authority to the client, serving as the final gate-keeper of all client recommendations and critical technology decisions. He/she will provide technical leadership during crucial, early phases of a client initiative, focusing on understanding the business problem, requirements gathering, conceptual and logical architecture, data model design, and technology tool selection (e.g. databases, BI tools, data integration tools, etc.)

Senior Technical Architects – Information Visibility review and approve all deliverables on a client engagement that relate to data, including all data models, data dictionaries, etc. In addition, he/she will provide oversight and input around data implications for other project deliverables, such as Use Cases, Feature Lists, Master Attribute Lists, etc.

The Senior Technical Architect – Information Visibility leads small to medium teams of data management professionals including Technical Architects, Senior Technical Specialists, data analysts, database administrators, and data process developers. In this role, he/she models conceptual and logical data architecture and will proactively communicate and validate architectural designs to ensure accurate representation of defined data requirements for complex business applications.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering required. MBA (or equivalent), or Masters in relevant discipline from a top university preferred.

Years of Experience
Minimum of 8 to 10 years of progressive and relevant consulting and technology experience

Areas of Experience and Capabilities:

  • Experience planning and estimating complex design and development projects.
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience, preferably in a global delivery model.
  • Expert in the conceptual, logical, and physical design for high volume transaction systems, while optimizing for high availability, security, manageability, and reliability.
  • Experience in the lifecycle design and development of large and/or complex OLTP and data warehousing systems.
  • Demonstrated success in supporting business development while providing high levels of client satisfaction during delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of data migration techniques and familiarity with both ETL and EAI concepts and tools.
  • Highly proficient in data access techniques and familiarity with query, reporting, OLAP and/or data mining tools.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication, team and client management skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with CXO-level executives.
  • Comfort with ambiguity in addressing yet-to-be defined client business challenges.
  • Extensive experience in managing a broadly diverse, cross-functional team of business and technology colleagues across geographic regions.
  • Travel up to 100%.
