Must Have Skills:
Architect Skills
 

  • Designed and built concurrent, high throughput web services based on deep understanding of the performance impacts of alternative threading architectures including thread per connection and event-based mechanisms.
  • Deep understanding of Synchronous / Asynchronous communication patterns and Problem solving abilities w.r.t. Message Sequencing, Correlation and Queuing.
  • Knowledge of SOA Design patterns for building middleware systems ground up using Message Routing, Content Enrichment, Message Filtering, Message Transformation, Guaranteed delivery, Message sequencing, Batch message processing, error handling and reconciliation mechanisms.
  • SOA Governance & Best Practices - for Web Service development, Managing business asset such as XSD's, WSDL, Process Definitions, XSLT etc, Design time UDDI, Policy management
  • Security, Logging, Auditing, Policy Management and Performance Monitoring and KPI for end-to-end process execution
  • Operations and System Management knowledge - Capacity Planning, Defining metrics, Defining how to collect performance metrics and designing approaches to measuring business KPI's
  • Clustering, Load Balancing and Failover management in a gracefully degradable manner.
  • Knowledge of Web Services Interoperability, WS-* standards and ability to suggest, criticize and formulate solutions in a multi-vendor and architecture committee meetings.
  • Development of PoC and presenting alternative solutions.
  • Ability to design solutions that will build atop existing components and within the constraints specified by the project and Architecture
  • Expertise in interoperability standards and methods
  • Experienced in Architecture governance processes and conducting Architecture reviews and evaluations

  • Ability to work in a team and contribute independently
  • Coordinate with other project teams and team members
  • Self directed and capable of working in a dynamic environment

 
Design and Documentation
 

  • Ability to create SAD, SDD, HLD, LLD etc
  • Ability to communicate using UML design using Visio, Enterprise Architect etc
  • Ability to write clear and concise documentation for Service specifications, service definitions, and service contracts

 
Technologies

  • J2EE - EJB, JMS, JCA, JTA, JDBC, HTTP/SOAP, XSD, JAXB, XSLT
  • Weblogic - Oracle Service Bus
