Our Client (NYSE listed 30,000 employees 30 year OLD SI) is seeking a Sales Director for the multiples regions. This position requires experience in selling System Integration services to large Telecom and Media service providers.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent - MS/MBA strongly preferred; 12-15 years of experience in Sales and Marketing experience in the Software Industry. Business Development, Account management and Technology selling in an onsite- offshore engagement model
- Selling multi-year managed service deals to the Telecom / Datacom industry that are multi million dollars in size with proven experience in driving new and existing revenue.
- Adept at assessing client needs, developing solutions, creating value propositions, and developing and delivering proposals.
- Broad industry knowledge in voice, data and video with in-depth knowledge of Internet and Networking technologies including managed services, Web-hosting, IP-VPN, IP Communications, Access, frame relay, ATM, etc. Ten years in the telecommunications, information technology, and/or systems integration industries.

- Demonstrated professional stability and commitment as well as the ability to initiate, maintain, and sustain successful long-term relationships with clients and/or the ability to initiate cold calls, to establish client rapport and to persuasively present and represent our business capabilities.
- Strong, clear, and concise writing skills. Demonstrated resourcefulness and self-directed behavior.
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to sound, ethical, moral, and legal business standards and practices.
- Polished and articulate verbal communication and platform skills demonstrating self-confidence, tact and diplomacy, and the ability to make high-level presentations. Must have an executive presence and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Adaptability to changing requirements dictated by technical/professional services industry and the our team environment. Must have excellent multi-task capabilities and exceptional interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Open and Grow large Accounts, Ability to interact with the C level. Ability to identify and cultivate a Coach in these large accounts. Ability to interact and effectively work with multiple offshore and onsite project team - are all important factor
- The Sales Director will be responsible to generate business revenue of USD 5M to 8M per year from new accounts for us
- Establishing and managing client relationships during deal structuring and through execution
- Some post deal management of client relationships to grow the accounts
- Participate, lead and influence key leadership decisions inside the firm relating to its future growth and business strategy, especially with respect to Consulting and SI delivery
- Individual works independently with freedom to determine results and methods within their business segment, receiving general direction from SVP, Business Development and Marketing.
- The Sales Director is accountable for the attainment of annual revenue growth objectives and supports business unit sales goals by conducting strategy reviews, serving as a liaison with business development and legal groups, and driving overall sales, service, and branch objectives. Regular interaction with other executive level management both internal and external (customer) in preservation of base revenue and driving revenue growth.
- Participates in various corporate presentations, client contact meetings, vendor, and teaming meeting to facilitate, coordinate, and/or negotiate contracts and/or other related business interests. Participates in trade shows, conferences, etc. for the purpose of sustaining industry and client awareness and its capabilities.
- Maintains relationships with customer representatives and familiarity with their technology needs; familiarizes them with our capabilities and solutions for the purpose of securing task orders/contracts/generating revenue. Conducts cold marketing calls for a similar purpose.
